BLIMP LOGISTICS
Blimp Logistics is improving ease of access to fresh food and lowering the cost of delivery within rural food deserts and low-income communities. Blimp developed a drone delivery system to alleviate issues of last-mile delivery services in suburban and rural areas for businesses shipping packages under 30 pounds. Blimp Logistics won the $30,000 grand prize in the 2021 Pitch Dingman Competition and were named The Washington Business Journal’s 2021 list of “25 Under 25” innovators. JUJU
JuJu Food Delivery offers an affordable bulk delivery and order pickup service for customers and restaurants that are facing higher-than-ever food delivery expenses. The JuJu Food Delivery team participated in Terp Startup Accelerator in 2022, where they received the Path to Product-Market Fit Award ($1,000) at Demo Day. They were also recently awarded second place at Contrary Capital Pitch Competition. Juju Food Delivery currently has 600 users and has generated $10,000 in revenue over two months. FANCY & SPICY
Fancy & Spicy is a digital culinary platform, emphasizing authentic Chinese food through a food blog, website, and published cookbook. Fancy & Spicy offers different kinds of online cooking classes with a variety of recipes to make healthy cooking accessible to everyone. Fancy & Spicy won the $15,000 grand prize in the Pitch Dingman Competition 2021 Main Street Track and also participated in Terp Startup Accelerator in 2021. KESTREL
Kestrel is a neobank that combines digital finance with data analytics to close rural agriculture's 5.4 trillion dollar financing gap. Kestrel utilizes freely accessible data from NASA satellites, which analyze crop health, track irrigation patterns, assess climate risk, and more across the U.S. and the world and makes agricultural lending easier by enabling people working with small farmers and lenders to have access to data on soil fertility, yield estimates and more.
Kestrel’s machine-learning algorithms analyze agricultural data alongside transaction histories to create alternative credit profiles for farmers and merchants, allowing us to provide them with access to critical financial services that can grow their incomes by up to 150%.
